Top 7 Tablets You Should Get This 2012

There’s been a lot of buzz from manufacturers around the tablet space lately. Not all of them are up to snuff though so we’ve picked the ones that are worth your cold hard cash. Take a look below and check out our top 7 picks.

1. Kindle Fire

Amazon’s latest and greatest tablet is the Kindle Fire. The 7-inch tablet boasts a multitouch, fully-colored display and ultra-fast web browsing with its native browser Silk. Tying it up with its online store, Amazon provides Kindle users access to 19 million movies, books, and other related media. It’s both handy and fast, a nice home tablet if you ask me.

2. Nook Color

Barnes and Noble goes head to head against Amazon with its very own Nook Color. For only $169 per unit, the Nook brings you a total media experience, with access to 2.5 million various titles, must-have apps, millions of songs, Netflix movie and TV streaming, and Nook Comics.  Battery life is also not a problem for this tablet since it lasts up to 8 hours. It’s certainly one of the best buys out there.

3. Eee Transformer Prime

Recognizing the fact that typing in tablets is hard, Asus offers the Transformer Prime which you can purchase with a dock, complete with USB ports, QWERTY keyboard, and touchpad. Docking also extends the battery life to 18 full hours, something many road warriors will appreciate. Did we mention that it’s also one of the slimmest tablets in the market? Definitely a great pick as a tablet for a rising professional.

4. Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9

Not to be outdone, Samsung has released a few tablets of its own. With similar specs as its 7.0 Plus and 10.1 counterparts, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is loaded with Android 3.1 Honeycomb and the company’s own TouchWiz interface. It also boasts a dual-core processor and a 1280 x 800 HD screen. And if you get the 3G model, it’s perfect for browsing during your daily commute.

5. Samsung Galaxy Note

Phone or tablet? Doesn’t matter, it’s Galaxy Note! Powered by the discovery that people wanted to do more with their smartphones, here’s a Samsung device with a notepad’s creative idea recording ability, a smartphone’s mobility and a tablet’s large display. One of it’s key features is the S-Pen, as seen above, which lets you jot down notes, quickly take screenshots and doodle to your heart’s delight. And oh, it’s the world’s first 5.3′′ HD Super AMOLED display. It’s become the device of choice for many, replacing both their regular phones as well as their chunky tablets.

6. Motorola Xoom 2

Motorola stepped up its game recently with the Xoom 2. The new version is packed with a splash-guard coating (for “life’s little oopsies”), light and thin hardware and a faster processor compared to its predecessor. It also features MotoCast, a free app from Motorola that lets you access your home computer through your tablet for streaming files and media. If you’re a fan of powerful tablets, this one definitely should be on your wishlist.

7. iPad 2

Apple not only changed the game when it came to computing with its iPad, the giant tech company also gave everyone the best option for mobile computing the very next year with the iPad 2. While it might not have the latest hardware inside, it does deliver the best user experience so far, not to mention over 140,000 apps in the App Store to fully maximize the device. There’s a reason why for most people the word “tablet” is synonymous with the iPad.

iPad 3 Launches Today, March 7

It’s official! Apple invites to its iPad 3 launch on March 7 (which is today) have been sent out!

Invitations were sent to bloggers and reporters. Apple has been consistent with the date since they launched the original iPad in March 7, 2010 and the iPad 2 on the same day in 2011.

“We have something you really have to see. And touch,” was the caption on the invitation. It also shows a part of an iPad screen with a finger pointing on a Calendar app set to iPad 3′s launch date.

According to the invite, the iPad 3 will no longer have the home button. Some bloggers also noticed that it has a higher resolution or retina display.

The launch will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. This was the same venue where former CEO Steve Jobs introduced the iPad 2.
The event will start at 10am PT and will end an hour or so after.

Experts believe that the latest iPad will have a retina display, probably the first quad-core processor and more internal memory. Though the opinion is split when it comes to having and LTE.

Aaron Vronko, CEO of Rapid Repair shared that he’d be “extremely surprised if the iPad 3 didn’t support LTE.” he added that tablet users consume even more data than smartphone users, faster speed is important to compete with Android tablets.

Apple, however has not disclosed the price of the iPad 3. It is rumored to cost $80 more than iPad 2.

This and all other rumors are sure to be cleared out come launch date.

Which iPad To Buy Review

Which iPad to Buy, that is the question! The Apple iPad has certainly gotten the world into quite a stir when it first came out of the market. The iPhone was one thing, the iPad is another. It is a mutant of all smart mobile gadgets and portable computers. No wonder everyone is buying it anywhere like it’s some sort of contest. If you are still caught up on what iPad to buy, then taking a few considerations can be wise in order to get the best deal. You can spend for a lot less for the same quality if you search hard enough.

First, all you have to figure out is your preference of memory storage. If you can live with 16GB iPad, then you can save more

rather buying a 64GB iPad. Apple iPad and iPhone’s prices do differ according to its memory capacity.

If you want to get one, make certain of the features that you really want. If you want the maximum memory but do not have the money for it at all, no worries because there are several ways to get it, effort is required but something rewarding will come eventually.

Secondly on which iPad to buy, The iPad has different connectivity options: Wi-Fi and 3G, Wi-Fi + 3G is a bit more costly than wi-fi alone, the reason behind this is; with 3G, internet access is possible anywhere, with Wi-Fi, you can only get connected in a Wi-Fi hot spot area. Basically, the only difference is the accessibility of web connection. If you don’t need internet that much or you don’t use internet everywhere, Wi-Fi alone is a good choice. However, if you are thinking what iPad to buy according to optimum quality, Wi-Fi +3G can highly satisfy that matter.

If you look into iPad shop and iPad retailers, the chance of getting a discount is rare. The price for iPad will eventually lower once the new generations are released, if you want to get the older version, lucky for you because it is highly reduced once a newer version is available. What iPad to buy can be tricky, from memory, connectivity up to color is confusing. If you want the best, buy 3G.

Whether you want the iPad new version or not, getting from iPad wholesale sources can be very overwhelming, everything is cut off inexpensively. If you have friends and family who also wants to purchase one, a wholesale purchase can be very cost-effective. What iPad to buy should not be a very hard task, where to buy it is even more strenuous. Online shops and wholesalers are cheaper than iPad retailers. If you can handle second-hand items, searching eBay and Amazon can help you decide what iPad to buy in an economical cost. Keep checking back for more news on more info on which iPad to buy.

Summary

As we all know that new contenders move into the field, Apple isn’t likely to keep its 90% share of the booming tablet market. But the iPad and the iPad 2 moves the goal posts, by being slimmer and lighter, boosting speed and power, and holding its price advantages, available apps and long battery life. As of now, I therefore can comfortably recommend it as the best tablet for average consumers.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

Model: Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

It is highly recommended that you check out the Samsung galaxy tab 10.1 for what it can do for your needs.  No matter how much you actually know about technology, you can learn a lot about how to use a tablet when you pick this one up.  It is light, compact and convenient for you so that you will never have to worry about if you can actually use it. the Samsung galaxy tab 10.1 is a great competitor to the iPad 2 because it is lighter. this is a great looking tab that runs honeycomb Android OS and comes in three megapixel camera quality for the back of the tablet.  The front of the tablet has a two megapixel camera, and has very powerful speakers.  This review will shed some light on the tablet and the pros and cons of the Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1.

Pros

  • Great looking tablet, with two cameras that perform fairly well for whatever you might need to take a picture of.
  • One of the fastest tablets on the market, and will probably continue to be, since it runs Google’s android honeycomb OS, which is amazingly fast and puts the competition to shame.
  • The great value if you need a Samsung galaxy tab 4g that is light, powerful, and easy to use
  • As mentioned in the previous point, 4G speed allows this to be a very fast tablet for your needs
  • If it didn’t say Samsung on the tablet, we would think this is an iPad 2.  That is obviously meant as a compliment.

Cons

  • The back of this tablet does not have any ports, meaning that it is harder to connect this tablet to external devices such as TVs, camcorders, and other types of technology.
  • The back is made of plastic, meaning that it is not solid at all like the iPad 2

Still, this tablet is as great of a competitor as any tablet on the market.  You will find much satisfaction from how great this thing looks at how fast it performs for you.  The Galaxy tab 10.1 release date was a very popular time for this tablet, with so many people wondering if it would defeat the iPad to in quality and sales.

What we can say is that mostly these tablets are neck and neck, so the choice is up to you if you will give your soul to Apple or stick with Google power for this tablet. this tablet gives you crisp, clear images with a wide viewing angle that you can look at websites on with ease. The Samsung Galaxy tab specs speak for themselves, with a wide array of features that will leave you astounded at how great this tablet works for you.  There is nothing better than having a tablet.

This past and great-looking that even your baby could play with and get around pretty easily on.  If you need to find a Samsung Galaxy tab for sale, you will be in the best position to look online or on Amazon for a tablet that suits your needs. nothing is better than having a tablet that looks as great as this one does, gives you the best value, and is slightly cheaper than the iPad 2.  If you want to find a tablet that performs great even when playing games and watching movies simultaneously, you will not be disappointed if you buy the Samsung galaxy tablet. the question is, can Samsung out to this one with the next edition tablet they bring out next year?  Guess we’ll have to see!

Blackberry Playbook

Model: Blackberry Playbook

If you love to use Blackberry, here is a tablet that you can use that will really get you going in the right direction.  The BlackBerry playbook has a lot of great features that you will love, and has HDMI output so that you could use it on so many things.  This Blackberry playbook review will display some pros and cons about the product so that you can decide if the blackberry playbook price that you will have to pay, is worth it in the end.

Pros

  • Only 7 inches
  • Advanced multitasking and security features
  • An Adobe flash 10.2 browser, they give you a unique web experience on the web
  • Desktop style web settings
  • Blackberry Playbook specs speak for themselves – a true competitor in a land where most tablets boast Google or Windows capabilities
  • A lot cheaper than most tablets

Cons

  • The wake button is really hard to push, which makes using this tablet very annoying
  • If used in conjunction with a BlackBerry phone, the features aren’t as elaborate as you would think they could be with BlackBerry compatibility.
  • The 7 inch size can be a problem for a lot of users who expect something a little smaller.

Still, so many people are looking to buy Blackberry playbook and check it out.  This is a very popular tablet that the makers at BlackBerry wanted to put out in direct competition to other tablets on the market, from such competitors as Google, Palm, Windows, and more. this is a streamlined operating system that is very easy to use.

If you are familiar with BlackBerry products, you will enjoy how familiar everything looks on the Blackberry playbook tablet; for $499, you can get a 16 GB version of the playbook, or get the $699 model for extra capacity. the tablet is only restricted to Wi-Fi right now, with 4G models planned later in the future. in spite of the small size of the screen, sales might go up for the BlackBerry if RIM can just get their customer service together and focus on usability for their tablets and smart phones. This tablet can either make or break blackberry in what they need to do to keep getting sales, and keep making products that satisfy customers instead of confuse them.

The Blackberry Playbook has no buttons on the front, just like the Motorola Xoom.  Using on-screen controls, the .7 inch bezel frame and 1024 x 600 resolution screen is bordered by stereo speakers which give you premium sound.  On board the tablet is a 5megapixel camera that can capture 1080 P video and photos.  In spite of the features, there are a lot of problems with the design that people have an issue with.  This might be due to how different black.

Thanks about their design compared to Apple iPad or other competitors, and anyone who is familiar with Blackberry and how they do e-mail and other things within the OS will feel right at home on this tablet. The most important thing to remember about this tablet is the operating system, which isn’t the hardest thing in the world to operate but it could use some tweaks. once you figure out how to use this tablet, everything will be very easy for you as you navigate through the OS and get rings done on the go.  If you want to check this tablet out, consult your nearest electronics store for Blackberry Playbook Verizon or look online for a great deal.

iPad 3 Launching With Siri – How True is this?

iPad 3’s Siri has been a hot issue and with the current launching of iOS 5.1 beta 3 –because of this iPad 3 rumor, the majority of developers believe that it’s not anymore impossible that Siri’s going to be on the tablet very soon. This newest beta code did not reveal much about future devices from Apple, however 9to5mac “something potentially major”, so, let’s just hope for the best from them.

The references for Siri Dictation was actually shown in the code and upon exploring the new beta 3 settings  application, “About Privacy and Dictation” shows up in a new section from the keyboard menu. This breakthrough as an iPad 3 feature was first discovered from the iPad 2. As you open the menu option, a screen with some legal jargons, as well as some useful information pertaining to the Apple’s Siri Dictation would show up.

Given that you will be using the new iPad 3 and you choose to use the feature called the keyboard dictation on your device, whatever that you dictate is recorded and will be sent to Apple in order for them to convert all the things that you said into text. Some data such as you first name, nickname and etc. will also be sent by Apple through your device.

And what exactly does this mean? Actually, the Dictation feature will not operate on your iPad 2 if you are using the iOS 5.1 beta 3. With this being said, there are so many iPad 3 rumors roaming around that there is going to be another breakthrough for the iPad that will eventually make a higher selling point for the new iPad 3 upon its release (we are expending our hard earned cash on the latter).

If we are going to remember back the iPhone 4S which receives Siri together with Siri Dictation through the use of iOS 5.0, and if ever Apple will adhere to the very same pattern to be their mobile counterpart, this is surely not impossible to happen in the near future.  Those from the iPod touch generation with retina display also claim that their legal screen and keyboard menu appear for them as well, thus, it simply implies that there is a probability of Apple trying to aim the very same technology for their own iPod touch line.

For now, it is way too early to tell that the Siri Dictation is the sole option available for the iPad 3 based on this current news. As a matter of fact, there was a report stating that Apple is continuously testing (of course with success) a sample iPad having the same full Siri experience. Additionally, this only proves to show that they also have the intention of rolling out iPad 3 with Siri.  Lastly, for the iPad 3 release without Siri, it would be difficult to convince iPad 2 users to switch to the iPad 3. We just have to wait and see until the iPad 3 release for us to know what innovations were made on the iPad 2.

Apple iPad 3 Features Revealed?

Everyone’s so excited with the forthcoming Apple’s iPad 3 release.  The superb performance of the first and second generation tablets made some anticipation that the next one would really be something that is far better than the first two.  The recent report by Cult of Mac revealed images of the Apple iPad 3.  It was said that iPatchonline, a UK based website specializing in diverse iDevice repairs, was the original source of the leaked images.  This leakage gave people some hints as to how the unit looks like.  This also triggered the imagination of people as to iPad 3 features.

Compared to the first two generations of Apple iPad, significant changes on the external of
iPad 3 were noticed from the images.   From its rear case, one can conclude that it features a thinner and smoother design.  Its component seems to be fully redesigned probably to come up with a better signal strength or to provide support to the alleged 4G LTE, GSM, and CDMA all in one place.

Because it’s the third of a series of tablets, people viewed the images of the new iPad 3 as something that would offer great touchscreen HD display with higher resolution compared to the previous units.  The images also show that iPad 3 is lighter due to a slimmer battery pack.  To make it different from the first ones, the battery pack is expected to have longer life.

However, as the manufacturer of one of the world’s most sought tablets, Apple would unquestionably take care of its name.  It won’t release a unit that is lesser in quality and performance.  The runaway success of the first two tablets tendered a signal that the public is ready for the third generation IPad.   Although the success of the first tablet was unforeseen when it came out in the market, people’s patronage of the unit had made significant mark in the sales of tablets.

The new iPad 3 is expected to have a better camera to surpass the performance of the first two. A longer video recording is also projected and people expect that there is something new with its screen aside from giving high quality pictures.  One of the iPad 3 rumors is a fingerprint proof screen in which technology has already been granted to Apple.

Although for some the leaked images had exposed the iPad 3 features, it cannot be concluded that what people think about the tablet based from the images is exact.  The iPad 3 rumors are just people’s views based on how they saw the image.  At any rate, there are only two outcomes of these exchanges of observations. Those who are expecting to see a better tablet than what is available in the market may be frustrated after the iPad 3 release for they might not see a remarkable difference of the latest tablet from the previous ones.  On the other hand, people’s expectations may be satisfied because what is to be released is even far more than what they had expected.

iPad 2 3G

Searching the web for the best product deals...

Model: iPad 2 3G

The iPad 2 3G has one of the best display on any tablet in the market today. But it’s still unchanged from the 1024 x 768 pixel resolution, at 132 px per inch, of the first generation iPad. This makes me wish they used the iPhone 4’s Retina Display’s 960 x 640 px resolution at 326 x per inch, on this second generation iPad instead. You can see the difference in the images and text between the two Apple products if you place them side by side.

However, even with those complaints, if you compare the iPad 2 3G with the 7” Samsung Galaxy Tab and the Motorola Xoom, then the iPad 2 display can more than hold its own. The Tab has sharp images and text but the colors are oversaturated, while the Xoom display is fuzzy even with its higher 1280 x 800 resolution.

Performance measures:

This second generation iPad upgraded its RAM capacity to twice that of the original, at 512MB RAM. It boasts a new dual-core A5 chip and a 200-MHz bus. The dual core CPU was needed to compete with the Android 3.0 tablets which all use dual cores. The Android RAM is still 2 times bigger than the iPad 2 3G, but Apple may still hold the home-team advantage in operating system and software.

Performance tests show that this next generation Apple iPad matches both the Android 3.0 and Motorola Xoom in speed, and it is 3 times faster than the single-core Samsung Galaxy Tab. In start-up times, it trounced the Xoom by 43% faster time, needing only 26 seconds to the Xoom’s 46.

Cameras:

The iPad 2 3G’s front and rear cameras seemed to be just an Apple cursory feature addition to use in FaceTime chats. The company didn’t make the hardware good enough to provide a satisfactory photo or video capture experience for the tablet user. It’s a surprise because the 720p, 5 megapixel camera of the iPhone 4 is such a satisfying gadget for taking pictures.

This iPad 2 camera does a better video job than the Samsung Tab, however, and it compares fairly well with the HD 2HR Cisco Flip Ultra. The rear camera can capture video at 720pHD and up to 30 frames per second, while the one on front only rates at VGA 640 x 480 px resolution. This is probably the reason why the iPad video looks pixellated when you use FaceTime chat over wifi.

Cameras aside, the bottom line is that the iPad 2 3G is still the top tablet computer out there. If you need a new tablet, then you won’t go wrong with Apple at this point.

iPad 2 Wifi

Model: iPad 2 Wifi

The iPad 2 wifi is more streamlined. It’s 30% slimmer than the original, around 0.34 inches and thinner than the iPhone 4. In fact, it’s so thin it feels like a different gadget. Don’t be misled though because it’s still just as rugged, because it’s made from a single aluminum slab designed to fit this second generation iPad’s components to a tee. The glass covering is still tough and scratch resistant, with a new front camera at the top and a home button at the screen’s bottom.

You’ll find all the other controls in their familiar places. The headphone jack and sleep/wake buttons are still on top and on the right are the lock and mute/rotation switches. The internal speaker’s sound quality is noticeably better, maybe because of the larger surface area. It’s still located at the bottom together with the iPad 2 universal dock connection.

New iPad accessory
Except for the original case, the iPad 2 wifi works well with the first generation accessories – adapters, docks, video cables, chargers, speakers, but they don’t fit as well. If you want keyboard support, Apple recommends you use its Bluetooth wireless keyboard.

What’s really getting attention is the new Apple Smart Cover, which you can get either in polyurethane ($39) or leather ($59) in multiple colors. This unique hinged cover magnetically attaches to the right or left edge of the iPad 2 wifi on 2 aluminum hinges with extra-strong magnets. The magnets detect when the cover is shut or open, which automatically triggers the iPad to wake or sleep. You can also adjust the settings if you want to use the button manually. It’s neat accessory because you can use it as a convenient stand when rolled up.

New features
The iPad 2 wifi isn’t a radical evolutionary step from the original, but it does have new features. The most prominent ones are the two new cameras on the front and back, which gives you the flexibility to snap pictures or record video. The back camera is on the upper-right corner, and it looks a lot like the chrome lens on the iPhone 4, with a similar 720p video capture. However, unlike the iPhone 4, this iPad next generation does not feature a camera flash and its camera sensor far simpler that the iPhone 4’s, which makes the iPad 2 a basically good camera for taking video stills.

Cameras and smart covers are nice to have, but it’s good to remember what made the original iPad an unbeatable tablet computer. You get many of the familiar iPhone capabilities such as Apple apps for Web browsing – email, music, YouTube, maps, video, and photos. If you have apps on your iPhone or iPod, you can download all these on your iPad 2 wifi.
